Developer Tools
Developer tools for hashes, Base64 images, truth tables and LaTeX tables, running in your browser without installing anything.
These are the jobs that come up in the middle of other work and are too small to justify opening an IDE or installing a package.
The hash generator computes MD5 (RFC 1321), SHA-1 and SHA-256 digests of a text. Use it to compare a value with a published checksum or to produce test fixtures.
MD5 and SHA-1 are broken for security purposes and should only be used where an existing system demands them; the page explains the difference. Base64 to image shows the picture hidden in a Base64 string or data URL, detects its real format from the file signature and lets you save it as a file.
The truth table generator evaluates a logic expression for every combination of its variables, which is handy for checking a condition before it goes into code or for coursework. The LaTeX table generator turns a grid of cells into tabular code with the special characters escaped.
Related tools live in two neighboring categories. Encoding has Base64 for text, URL encoding, hex and binary. Generators has UUIDs, QR codes and schema markup.
All tools here run in your browser. Nothing you paste, whether a token, a snippet of production data or an internal URL, is sent anywhere. The site counts that a tool was used, never what was typed into it; the privacy page has the details.
